Personal Notes:
Was introduced to the club by Dan
Romero's wife Amy. Joe was a co-worker at Overland
Resources in Laguna Hills. He quickly made an
impact with the team with a strong bat and a
fantastic knuckleball... Joe lives out in Corona
with his wife Elena and three children. A family
man who even makes a showing for the Coed Cruisers
when time presents itself. He played minor league
ball with the Oakland Athletics organization. Plays
occasional fast pitch, and hardball. Has
established himself as the clean-up hitter in a
strong line-up.
Madden Cruiser
Highlights:In an AmCom National
Coed Tournament, Fernandez batted a cool .900 (18
for 20) and had an OB% of .952 as he reached base
via error once. Led the team with a .688 Batting
average and 10 RBIs in the Cruisers August 2001 NSA
tournament win.
